Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone (born 1943) is an Italian businessman. He controls the holding company Caltagirone S.p.A. with interests in cement manufacturing, real estate, construction and publishing (with Caltagirone Editore).
Caltagirone was born in Rome. He is married and has three children: Francesco, Alessandro, and Azzurra (who has a daughter, Caterina, with her husband the Italian politician Pier Ferdinando Casini).
Caltagirone was ranked number 258 on the 2006 Forbes billionaire list and the seventh richest person in Italy, with estimated net worth of $2.7 billion.[2]
